Guided Bone & Tissue Regeneration
Our practice offers several solutions to address periodontal disease, including guided tissue regeneration. During this procedure, our board-certified doctors address pockets of degenerated bone that develop in the jaw, stabilizing endangered teeth or preparing the jaw to receive dental implants. This procedure involves thoroughly cleaning the gum pockets and installing bone and a membrane between soft tissue and bone, all while promoting your safety and comfort. The membrane blocks fast-growing soft tissue, allowing slower-growing bone to regenerate itself.
Frenectomy
A frenectomy is a surgery to eliminate a tongue or lip tie. These genetic abnormalities can compromise the tongue’s range of motion, making it more difficult for a baby to eat as normal. When left untreated, tongue and lip ties can also compromise speech development and even the formation of teeth. Frenectomies are very simple, in-office procedures with very short recovery times and can contribute to long-term health and well-being for your child.
Orthodontic Support (Wilckodontics, Canine/Tooth Uncovering and Bonding)
If you require orthodontic care to ensure straight and evenly spaced teeth, our practice provides a number of supportive procedures. Our doctors offer Wilckodontics®, an advanced method that allows orthodontic cases to be completed in as little as seven or eight months, significantly faster than traditional orthodontics. We also help to expose canines and other impacted teeth, moving them into position for full orthodontic care.
Biologics
At Advanced Implant and Periodontal Specialists, we use state-of-the-art technology to promote a positive patient experience. This includes the use of biologics, pharmaceutical products derived from organic and biological materials, specifically living cells. Biologics can be administered along with other oral health procedures, protecting against inflammation while supporting a smoother, faster, and more comfortable recovery.
Scaling And Root Planing
Often, the best way to address gum disease is through a deep cleaning. Our board-certified doctors provide scaling and root planing services, a thorough cleaning done with the patient under local anesthesia to promote their safety and comfort. Scaling involves the removal of calculus and plaque from the surface of the teeth, while root planing removes cementum and surface dentin. Not only do these procedures eradicate disease from the gums, but they also help prevent the development of future bacterial colonies.
